VALORANT 8.01 Patch Notes:

  2. Agent Updates

BREEZE:

Agent Updates 8.01

SKYE:

  • Guiding Light (E): The ability to reload during the duration of Guiding Light has been removed. This adjustment aims to make decision-making challenging for Skye players, providing advantages in both conflicts and information gathering. Skye will now need to sacrifice some efficiency in different scenarios to utilize Guiding Light for early-round information.
  • The blinding effect of Skye’s flash ability now activates automatically at the end of its duration, requiring more thoughtful use when deploying fake flashbangs. Additionally, Guiding Light (E) can now be flown to its maximum range, making it easier to get value from the ability even in this state.

ISO:

  • Steel Resolve (E):
    • Increased the duration of the orbs on the map: 2 seconds >>> 3 seconds.
    • Extended the initial boost and shield duration: 15 seconds >>> 20 seconds.
    • Reduced the width of the shield: 120 >>> 100.
  • C Site (C):
    • Reduced the cost: 250 >>> 200.

Gameplay System Updates: 8.01 Patch Notes

Jump-Throw Ability Consistency:

  • Implemented a feature allowing more consistent replication of sequences involving throwing a jump-activated ability. If you issue the command to throw an ability within 100 ms of jumping, the thrown ability will consistently behave with the same acceleration. This ensures stability when landing in the same position.

While most jump-thrown ability sequences will continue to work as before, some adjustments may be needed for specific sequences.
